Welcome to the home of triathlon at Fritton Lake with events delivered by Active Outdoor Sport. At Fritton lake we run two main triathlon weekends with races to suit everyone’s ability and experience.  

16th/17th June:  Fritton Triathlon Festival

Races include Super Sprint to Olympic Distance over the two days. This event is renowned for its relaxed friendly atmosphere and is a great introduction to open water triathlon. Whatever your sporting background this is truly an event for all the family with the country park attractions such as the adventure playground available for youngsters wanting to take a break from watching the racing. 22nd/ 23rd September: Fritton Viking Triathlon

Races include an off road XT triathlon on Saturday and a middle distance race on Sunday.  These are tough/ hardcore races for those wanting a serious challenge and to test their fitness - “OpnÅ  det umulige”. Read more

About Fritton Lake

Fritton Lake is one of the most beautiful stretches of water in East Anglia, extending two and a quarter miles from end to end and covering 150 acres. The lake is considered the jewel in the crown of the historic Somerleyton Hall estate, which covers 5,000 acres.

Cancer charity join Fritton team

CLIC sponsorship form
CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity, has teamed up with Fritton Lake Triathlon. Every day, 10 children or young people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia. CLIC Sargent acts as a lifeline for these children and their families, keeping them together when the unimaginable happens.
