Volunteering for Active Outdoor Sport

Would you like to work in sport or event management?  Do you want to gain valuable experience in the run up to London 2012, or are you just looking to get more involved with events in your local area?…Then you can be part of the Active Outdoor Sport team and help to deliver the triathlon weekends put on at Fritton lake or some of the other events in the Norfolk/Suffolk area that we organise!

Register to join our Volunteer Team!

Why should I volunteer?

Our events would not exist without the invaluable support of volunteers.  The volunteer roles are vital for all of our events, and make an enormous difference to the competitor and spectator event experience.   Volunteering is a great way to have fun, make friends and gain experience of large scale events.   Volunteering for the event can also give you the opportunity to test out potential career choices.   Equally, if you know of others who can join you then please ask them to get in touch.

What will I be doing?

Roles are varied for each of our events.   You could be directing athletes, helping at the start/finish/transition points, providing race information or providing that all important finisher medal to competitors!

Team Leaders

For all of our events we are looking for capable and willing Team Leaders to assist with the on-the-day organisation.  If you have proven experience of event work, and an enthusiasm for making the event better than ever, then why not get in touch!

What’s included?

  • Working on an exciting event at a variety of locations in the region, including the beautiful surroundings of the Fritton Lake Country Park
  • Agreed travel expenses
  • Limited Edition volunteer’s T-Shirt
  • Food and refreshments throughout the day
  • A great achievement that gives you practical experience for future events.

When will I be needed?

Planning for all of our 2012 events is now well under way, and it would be great to know that you are able to help us at one or more of our events in the schedule for next year, particularly if you are able to help out at the Fritton Viking Triathlon Weekend on Saturday 22nd / Sunday 23rd September 2012.
